GEMS was founded in 2026 in a small town in Sweden — not a design capital, just a place where things are still made by hand and judged by how well they work. We started after noticing the same problem in every wallet and card case we owned: too much material spent on decoration, too little on the parts you actually touch.

Every GEMS piece is cut from full-grain leather and finished by hand in small batches. No embossed logos on the outside, no unnecessary panels — just the leather, a single seam, and a quiet mark on the inside. We design guided by a belief that's become unfashionable: that restraint is a form of luxury, and that objects made to disappear into daily life deserve just as much care as those made to be noticed.

GEMS Noir is only the beginning. As we grow, we're working on a small collection of larger leather goods — wallets, travel cases, and other everyday essentials — each held to the same standard: nothing added that doesn't earn its place. Expect fewer releases, not more, each one more exclusive and more considered than the last.
